Actor Rejects Anti-Vax Stance After Narrating Controversial Covid Documentary
Liam Neeson has provided his narration to a new documentary that challenges the safety of immunizations and commends ex- cabinet secretary the political figure.
The Documentary's Provocative Foundation
Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is inspired by a bestselling book co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the global outbreak for assertions that the virus was caused by a faulty batch of the seasonal immunization.
The publication's writing partner, a producer, has also written books with conspiracy-prone media personality Alex Jones. Heckenlively took to social media hailing Neeson's participation in the film.
An Unequivocal Rebuttal
The team of the actor have issued a response firmly refuting suggestions that he subscribes to anti-immunization views.
"Many acknowledge that corruption may occur within the medical sector, but that cannot be conflated with being against vaccines," the response reads. "Liam is not, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His long work with Unicef reinforces his long-held support for global immunisation initiatives."
The response continued that the star had no hand in the project's editorial content and that questions about its content should be directed to the producers.
Major Claims In the Feature
In the film, the narration provided by Neeson makes several controversial claims:
- It claims that pro-vaccine voices have insisted on "unconditional submission" to government bodies.
- It argues that "research has become deeply influenced by politics."
- Kennedy is featured stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't properly vetted."
- It takes aim at pandemic restrictions, saying they caused mental anguish that resulted in thousands of lives.
- On the topic of the immunizations, it cites a view that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."
Historical Background and Ongoing Debates
The film further cites a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was afterwards the topic of a formal apology by the corporation for editorial breaches.
Last month, the political figure directed the CDC to revise its official position that there is no link between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is also referenced in the film, even with a new report from the World Health Organisation stating no such link has been found.
A Previous Record of Support
Standing in contrast to the documentary's message, Neeson has formerly voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
Previously, he called vaccines as "an incredible achievement," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."
The film concludes with Neeson's voice saying, "This is not the finish of our story. Rather, it is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
