Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland before the global hiatus, however can the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.

For the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' new record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Life

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not intending a professional return as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "The team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer side," he said.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be fairly close, however. Burnley are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear strong again.

West Ham's sole on the road win this season came at Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers extending their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four games.

My son advised me to get Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the road this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality turns out to be quite close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six games.

They have got lots of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.

But I am not going to choose that. Instead, I really need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's home record, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have still been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
