Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage features live text of Sunday's games via multiple platforms, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, radio commentary is available on designated networks covering a separate game (from 21:00 BST).

It's week six of the NFL season and after recent talk regarding two top teams being possible championship contenders, they both lost their perfect starts.

Striking in those games were the amount of penalties each conceded. Philadelphia committed them in key moments so they kind of beat themselves having led by two touchdowns entering the fourth period versus Denver, set to play overseas this weekend.

However it was good to see that Denver's QB Bo Nix was able to have that deficit and then direct three scoring drives in three attempts in the fourth quarter, to win the game 21-17.

The Broncos have the top defender in cornerback Pat Surtain II. They rank first in red zone defence, while Philadelphia are number one in red zone offence, yet the Broncos won that contest.

They executed effective strategies in terms of simulated pressure. They did not necessarily rushing extra defenders but they might position two LBs in the 'A' gap before drop them out and dispatch a slot defender off the edge.

At the start in the campaign, we said on a program that the Broncos could be this season's surprise contenders. They ended last season well then excelled in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's dark horses?

Recently acquired tight end their tight end has excelled big while new running back JK Dobbins is a player they believe in. He now ranks fifth league-wide for rushing yards (402) as well as tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).

It's impressive that head coach Sean Payton has "RUN IT!" at the top of his playcall sheet.

This demonstrates that the Broncos represent a squad that wants to run first, because one can achieve much based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush while keeps you in positive down and distances.

It's also helped quarterback the young passer, who entered the NFL as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess powerful arms to pass all over, but they don't move the mobility that Nix has. He has exceptional arm talent, which is different, plus he's so athletic.

His strengths are his movement, being able to pass while moving, and finding different arm angles to make the pass when he rolls outside protection, the bootlegs. He is able to throw precision throws across the middle and past defenders.

As a rookie QB, aged 25, he's got a lot of composure in the pocket and isn't really fazed by extra rushers. He tries to avoid being tackled whenever possible and is able throw in tight spots. He has sharp intelligence and is very decisive.

If you consistently run the ball it consumes the clock and forces the defence to stay in play for longer, and when you have a mobile QB the defence has to defend the field vertically and horizontally. This proves exhausting.

Nix has pushed back with the coach during games sometimes and it seems the coach likes that attitude, seeing him as such a competitor. In my view it's fun for him to coach a rookie QB that is kind of like play-dough. The coach can really develop him how he wants to shape him. I think it's a special experience for him.

The head coach has won a championship and has passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. I think the success the Broncos are experiencing offensively is mostly due to his guidance, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the combination with the QB helps shape him into who he is.

There's no better a better guy guiding you, to assist you during some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.

I have faith in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. But is the team strong enough to face a top squad at full strength? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia in their last game.

Currently, I don't think Denver are incredible. They're working above average, that's a good place to be in the AFC West. All they need to do to continue this path.

They're really good at embracing their strength, that is running the ball, and this is precisely what they should do versus the Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.

New York have surrendered 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five ground scores so far (in the bottom ten), and they are the only team yet to win a game.

Since the league started recording turnovers in 1933, this team are the first team to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is kind of shocking considering that the head coach was previously defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes says Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' after Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

After the upcoming matchup, Denver have a manageable slate up to their bye (in week 12) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans and the Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Looking at their division, Kansas City hold a losing record while Denver are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 so they could challenge for the top of the West.

This hinges upon what version Kansas City shows up they face because the Broncos {beat|def
