Netflix Selects Ideal Star for Bentham in the Hit Series Season 3

Baroque Works is geared up to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t unfold until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.

Netflix announced this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bentham. Bon Clay has the ability to change into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The performer, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a rendition of that character reimagined as non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action series, unlike the source material and cartoon version.

Escola will work alongside multiple new cast members tasked with bringing the group to life, including chief Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the ensemble as the ruler of the desert kingdom.

Although the role is a major member of Baroque Works, the individual will be introduced in One Piece the third season. With the second season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this represents a notable change in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could suggest additional alterations to the story’s structure.

Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the role. Besides their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.

Netflix's live-action One Piece series is due to premiere for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
