Renowned Star The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Has Died at 60 Years Old.
US actor Pat Finn, who was seen in beloved TV shows such as "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has died at 60 years old.
The comedy and improvisation performer died at home in LA recently having undergone cancer treatment beginning in 2022, as reported by reports.
"Pat never met a stranger - only friends he hadn't encountered," his relatives said in a message.
They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".
An Extensive Television Career
Finn's first television role was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.
He also had a recurring role on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.
He played the part of Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a party host who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.
Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on a variety of hit series, such as:
- The King of Queens
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- "House"
His most famous role for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons from 2011 to 2018.
His cinematic roles include It's Complicated (2009) and "Santa Paws 2".
A Life in Improv
Beyond his acting parts, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.
He was a member of a six-person improv troupe named Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn guided, supported, and advised many learners over the years and it's nearly impossible to find anyone anyplace who has an unkind word to say about him," his relatives stated.
Paying homage, peer Richard Kind said there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, authentic human being you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," Kind wrote on social media.
Pat Finn is survived by his wife Donna, three children, and his parents and siblings.
