The British government is ready to advance with utilizing the entire amount of frozen Russia's funds to support Ukraine's defense operations, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a collective announcement, the heads of state of the Britain, France, and Germany stated that this coordinated action would heighten pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and compel Moscow to come to the table.

They clarified that the move would be carried out in close cooperation with the US.

UK restrictions have immobilized more than £25bn of Russia's assets since Russia began its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, until now, money sent to the Ukrainian government using Russia's assets had only been sourced from earnings and returns accrued on them.

Sir Keir assured President Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, France, and Germany were united in their aim to drive progress toward using the total worth of the frozen Moscow's national funds to end the war.

He stated that more sanctions over the next period would apply more pressure on Russia.

This statement is subsequent to EU representatives convened in the Danish capital last week to discuss using frozen Russian holdings for a €140bn financial aid to Ukraine.

Last month, American leader Donald Trump encouraged international partners to seize or otherwise use seized Russian funds, according to news outlets.

The total of frozen Russian assets in the EU is estimated to be approximately €211bn.

The Russian government carried out extensive missile and drone strikes all over the Ukrainian territory on recently, causing electricity outages in large parts of Kyiv, Kyiv, and multiple additional areas.

While applauding the United Kingdom's firm backing for Kyiv, he noted it should send a clear signal that it would engage in the program, as well as apply further sanctions on the Russian Federation.
